San Francisco 49ers 2012 Offseason Up To Date

Since 2002-2003, the San Francisco 49ers haven’t had a winning season. They went through multiple head coaches, from Dennis Erickson, Mike Nolan, and Mike Singletary. Everything changed for the 49ers when the organization hired former Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh. The 49ers also hired Trent Baalke as General Manager to improve the team’s personnel. In 2010 the 49ers had a dismal 6-10 finish, and many in the organization, NFL analysts, and fans did not expect the 49ers to have a winning season the following year.

San Francisco 49ers Get the Green Light For New Stadium

Finally! After years of stiff negotiations with the cities of San Francisco and Santa Clara, the San Francisco 49ers will now look forward to the construction of a brand-new football stadium in Santa Clara, in the South Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. Many people throughout the Bay Area, most importantly 49er fans, are extremely excited that city of Santa Clara gave the green light for the construction of a brand-new stadium. The 49ers football organization has been in the Bay Area since they were first established in 1946. With years of failed negotiations, the team threatened to move out of the Bay Area, which rumors circulated that a possible Los Angeles move was in the works. But, with the green light given for a new stadium in Santa Clara the San Francisco 49ers are going to stay in the Bay Area indefinitely.

Randy Moss Vows To Make NFL Return From Retirement

Reports surfaced last week that retired NFL all-star and future hall of famer Randy Moss has vowed to come out of retirement and make a comeback by returning to the league. Moss played in the NFL for 13 seasons until his retirement in 2010. He was selected in the first round of the 1998 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings as the 21st pick. Throughout his career, Randy Moss has set various records, including earning 7 Pro Bowl selections. Moss is considered to be one of the top five best wide receivers to have ever played the game of football. Currently, he has 954 receptions, 14,858 receiving yards, and  153 touchdowns. Although Moss has had a very productive and “hall of fame” career, he also has a dark cloud of various controversies that have plagued him throughout his time in the NFL.
