Since 2002-2003, the San Francisco 49ers haven’t had a winning season. They went through multiple head coaches, from Dennis Erickson, Mike Nolan, and Mike Singletary. Everything changed for the 49ers when the organization hired former Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh. The 49ers also hired Trent Baalke as General Manager to improve the team’s personnel. In 2010 the 49ers had a dismal 6-10 finish, and many in the organization, NFL analysts, and fans did not expect the 49ers to have a winning season the following year.
